COPA Flight 8 Meeting - Crossing the Atlantic
Just a quick note to remind you that on Wednesday 27 January you will vicariously experience that trans-Atlantic flight you always dreamt of doing at COPA Flight 8's January meeting. Al Hepburn will lead us through his transatlantic crossing in a light plane this past year. The meeting is at Ottawa Flying Club at 7:30 PM (00:30Z). All welcome.
National Aviation Day - 23 February
The Canada Aviation Museum in Ottawa, in collaboration with the
Department of Transport and others involved in the newly-named Canadian Air and
Space Network, will be putting on a Career Day and Job Fair on the 23rd of February. They are in the process of lining up participants both from the side of school boards, colleges and other educational institutions, on
the one hand, and the various employers in the widely-defined aviation and space community in Canada. Initial response from all sides has been very positive. COPA will have a booth there to promote personal aviation and answer questions about flight training, licensing etc.
Kevin Psutka asks if anyone would like to help man the booth, they can let him know. The plan is still in development but he expects the event to last from 10 until 2 on 23 February.
See you over the Atlantic.
