The Rockcliffe Flying Club offers a range of ground schools in parallel with the flight training. Throughout the year, we offer Private, Commercial and IFR ground schools.
Private Pilot Ground School
Schedule: this is a module-based course which is offered continuously. Register now at the club or info@rfc.ca or 613 746 4425
As our course is designed to be modular, you can start it at the beginning of any of the modules by attending an Introductory Lesson.

Commercial and Instrument Flight Rules ground school
The Rockcliffe Flying Club is pleased to start offering a combined Commercial and Instrument Flight Rules Ground school. We have developed this combined course at the suggestion of past students who commented that a lot of the material was duplicated between the two courses.
We have a course that:
- a) starts off with Commercial topics (theory of flight, air law, flight operations, etc),
- b) continues with the combined material (weather, some navigation, human factors, etc) and,
- c) finishes off with the specific IFR techniques (IFR trip planning, departures and approaches).
Commercial-only students can do the first two modules (a & b), IFR-only students can do the second two modules (b & c) and those interested in both can do the whole course. Those who do only one option will be able to come back and do the other at a later date at no cost. See rates below.

RFC's Groundschool guarantee:
The Rockcliffe Flying Club believes in continuing education and flight safety, therefore we have a policy that any active member who has paid for a groundschool can come back to redo that groundschool in part or in full as often as they wish at no charge. This also applies to pilots who are returning to flying after an absence, or pilots who have transferred in from another institution and have already paid for a private pilot licence ground school at that institution.
