Pilots (student, rental, owners etc.) of all experience levels are welcome. Let's hear your ideas.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Participating in discussions and meetings; Planning of a specific activity; Assisting with aspects of the Flour Bombing/Spot Landing Competitions including set-up and runway marking; registration; marshalling; judging.

What we do:

The Breakfast Club

Wider Horizons

Buddy program - Pilots meeting certain aircraft type and experience profiles can act as safety pilots for less experienced pilots participating in the BFC and trips.Contact Co-ordinator: Simon Garrett 

Seminars and Tours - Past activities included: Flying to the US seminar, tour of the CAM, tour of the Ottawa ATC tower.

Meetings - Information and planning meetings are held monthly and as needed. Your ideas and input are encouraged. Our meetings are always open so come and join us at our next one.

Trips - Flight planning and discussion meetings are scheduled as need for trip planning. Pilots of all experience are welcome. Club aircraft will be set aside for members to participate, subject to first come first served basis.

ii) Weekend overnight past destinations: New York City , NY
iii) Cross-country past destinations: cable head P.E.I, Baddeck N.S.

Spot Landing/Flour bombing competitions
Traditionally held in late summer, results from last year can be seen in the Crosswinds Summer 2010 edition. Lots of volunteer opportunities, including set-up and runway marking; registration; marshalling; judging

Air Rally
The ‘RFC 50th Anniversary’ air rally. 
To be held in conjunction with the spot landing and flour bombing competitions. Many volunteer opportunities available.
