What's the difference between all these permits, licences and ratings?

What can I do with it? Fly single engine aircraft with up to 4 seats, but only one passenger. Fly during the day and in good weather only. Not recognized in the US. Fly most single engine aircraft with as many passengers as they can carry. Fly during the day and good weather unless I have other ratings Fly for revenue most single engine aircraft with as many passengers as they can hold. Fly at night and over clouds.
Ratings that can allow me to do more? Float rating: fly float and amphibian aircraft.
